An intuition as simple as it’s brilliant: this is VisitApp. We are talking about an application that will be available from next spring and is destined to mark a turning point in the world of bookings for medical visits in private clinics. The idea is by Gianfranco Licheri, who tells us how VisitApp was born: “I had to leave for a job but I had not been able to arrange urgent visits for me and my mother yet. I couldn’t go directly to the clinic and, on the phone, the waitings were so long and unnerving. I said to myself: why is it so simple to book a trip to the other side of the world and it’s so complicated to book a medical visit in my city?”.
And what was the answer?
“Because there isn’t a dedicated app, there wasn’t nothing in the field of medical bookings in this world where everything – or almost – works through an app. So I started talking about it with a developer, who is the current developer of VisitApp, and I finally convinced myself of the goodness of this idea when, after the meeting with important companies in the industry, everyone told me that an app like this was what was missing. I realized I was facing a possible revolution in clinical-hospital bookings. I could give a great and concrete benefit to the people”.
“Today the most precious asset is time, and you lost it in the queues, on the phone and in an office. How many times have we waited before having an answer to our requests? VisitApp was born above all of this, to make the relationship between the clinics and the patient simpler and more direct, with full mutual satisfaction”.
And how is it work?
“VisitApp is an easy-to-use application. The patient downloads it, logs in after receiving a validation text message and can start to get in touch with the affiliated clinics. Search for the service you need, choose from the dates and times available and start the process of the request. The clinic responds according to its timing, leading the patient by the hand to the best solution”.
What are the benefits?
“There are two types of benefits, one for the clinic and one for the patient. Indeed, the one for the clinic is a double advantage because it saves time and optimizes resources, with budget benefits. Less calls are made in the Cup from outside, and less time is lost. The resources can then be optimized, and an economic advantage ensues. The benefits for the patient are equally evident: he can send his request from anywhere and at any time. In addition, he is also informed of what documentation he has to bring with him, with clarity and without the possibility of boring misunderstandings”.
But the app does not make the relationship between clinic and patient colder?
“No, because the possibility of a direct contact, without intermediation, makes it easier to understand the patient’s needs and how to solve them. Furthermore, the relationship is retained. The clinic knows who is in front of it and can carry out a friendly communication with the patient, finding out its current problems and the future ones”.
Does VisitApp require a training job in the clinic?
“Not at all. The focus of the work is developed by e-mail. Then there are several performance loading steps (numeric fields, text fields, date), but the procedure is so easy that it can be followed by those who do not have specific skills in the web. It’s so good!”.
Well, one last question: one of the most sensitive issues is the data protection. How do VisitApp manage them?
“Each clinic receives a unique key. In this way, you can only log into your own data in order to create, read and update services and reservations. The operations that can be executed are related to the possibility of retrieving information about appointments and related updates. The login to access the system can only be performed by the enabled facilities. VisitApp ensures safe at the clinic and at the patient”.
